Comcast has speeds that are definetely more than comparable when you are looking at the home broadband service they provide. Their new wireless unit is going to compete very heavily with the existing cell phone providers. Their upload and download speeds more than out match their competitors and the price is fairly comparable. Now it would be easier to browse internet for blogs, social network or accredited online colleges sites on mobile broadband itself.
Clear has the option of having both home broadband and mobile broadband for less than it would cost for both on the Comcast plan and much cheaper than the cellular providers that it competes with. The only question is with Clear are the coverage areas comparable? Fortunately at the moment they seem to be pulling into the race with a foot ahead of their competitors. Granted both Verizon and AT&T have dedicated customers who trust the service and that can mean a big difference in how they will compete.
Both Clear and Comcast will be companies to watch out for when it comes time to renew and upgrade your service. Comcast will be offering 4G coverage similar to its cellular competitors. Having both Clear and Comcast as mobile broadband providers will open the market for competition which will make mobile broadband a very competitive and changing industry.
