They are ready to spend money like this when millions of individuals are starving due to lack of food and water?
Why is technology not being used to repair the environmental damage? Why is it not being used to solve the food crisis immediately? In all fairness, technology is being used in these areas and sectors as well. However, can it be safely said that mankind is investing more in technology for saving life and the planet than on tech related to entertainment?
Today, our tech focuses more on materiel benefits and satisfaction of material senses. In such a scenario, more and more people are becoming slaves of technology instead of trying to master the same. Has the same urgency shown to develop the iPad being shown to develop digital paper?
Why is it that service providers are taking things so easy when it comes to protection of environment and others such as socially beneficial projects? The biggest problem here is consumer demand. How many individuals are prepared to wait for five years for an iPad to help the environment improves? Nobody.
